As a writer, I feel like I’m always supposed to know what to say (or write) but every time I think about having a book of mine get published, I feel at a loss for words.

I’m excited! I’m scared! I feel like that John Mulaney meme about everyone getting real cool about a bunch of stuff really quickly.

In a way that I never imagined when I started this process, it feels a little bit like offering up a piece of your soul to the world and saying, please don’t judge me on what it is.
